In order to ensure reliability and the fastest possible response to any alarm raised, Pinpoint has developed a mobile app that enables mobile devices to receive information like alarms, patient calls and system status updates. Where bring your own device is permitted, users can now interact with the Pinpoint System on their own phone, as well as existing iPads/tablets, that they have on them every day, rather than having to carry additional mobile devices. Data transmission utilises any available connection like Wi-Fi and cellular 4G technology, providing better coverage and reliability than traditional paging systems.

For the first time, Pinpoint’s renowned PIT technology has been designed around patient use. The WristPIT, a wrist-worn personal infrared transmitter, is easily accessible and allows patients to activate a call for help even if they are away from their bed or a fixed call-point. The WristPIT can withstand showering and brief submersion in water and, like the traditional PIT, also incorporates antimicrobial product protection, reducing the ability for bacteria to grow.
