Chroma’s national team of experienced therapists provides therapeutic services within the healthcare, social care and educational sectors.
We work with over 40 local authorities, NHS and private healthcare settings including many centres of excellence.
A recent evaluation of Chroma’s work showed that 26 out of 30 patients who had suffered a stroke improved their walking speed by over 40% aſter a single session of neurologic music therapy.
Chroma is a leading provider of neurologic music therapy (NMT) in the UK. NMT is the therapeutic application of music to cognitive, affective, sensory, language and motor dysfunctions due to disease or injury to the human nervous system.

In an evaluation of its work supporting patients with a traumatic brain injury as a result of a car crash or a fall, Chroma reduced the time taken for seriously injured patients to drink 200ml of water aſter one session of NMT with the improvement sustained aſter three sessions.
Chroma’s NMT work significantly accelerates rehabilitation in patients with an acquired brain injury. The organisation recently successfully integrated its services into Charing Cross Hospital’s acute stroke ward, with their stroke consultants calling it “a national exemplar service”.
The service was also able to enhance the quality of life of clients and increase self-expression, confidence and communication as well as improving social skills, co-ordination and concentration.

Chroma’s therapists hold Health and Care Professions Council registration, and sit within the Allied Health Professional (AHP) legal and regulatory framework. Additionally, Chroma has attained Partner status with Independent Neurorehabilitation Providers Alliance (INPA), which confirms the high standard of specialist services Chroma provides to its neuro-rehabilitation partners.
