A new Global Head of Sales at Pacvac

Pacvac began its manufacturing operations with an innovative backpack vacuum design in 1978, and today is proudly at the forefront of international innovations in backpack vacuum technology.

With over 30 years of experience in technical sales and project management environments, it was only natural that Sorrel Forsey-Anderson would seamlessly make the transition from building a career centred around technology and innovation, to joining the industry leaders in commercial cleaning at Pacvac.

Forsey-Anderson has worked with engineers around the globe and across numerous industries, helping them prove their designs, and moving them from concept through to full production, including the negotiation and management of supply contracts.

Having worked in key technology industries – Semiconductors including passives, Interconnect Electromechanical, Hydrogen Fuel Cells and Hydraulics – Forsey-Anderson highlighted: “I have extensive experience in both international distribution and manufacturing. Whilst in the Hydrogen Fuel Cell industry I became an international consultant, providing sales training and services for my clients, enabling them to sell their complex products around the globe.”

Forsey-Anderson has stepped seamlessly into the senior management position of Global Head of Sales at Pacvac. Here she is responsible for the global sales, customer service teams, and the company’s network of distributors, dealers and end users worldwide, working closely with Sales Manager Nolan Smith, a well-respected name within the commercial cleaning industry.

Forsey-Anderson continued: “I want to maximise our existing relationships, and find new partners who will share our vision and drive to make Pacvac the commercial backpack vacuum cleaner of choice worldwide.”

Forsey-Anderson says it was the highly experienced and forward-thinking management, marketing and research and development teams that appealed to her about the role. She also firmly believes that her own personal values are aligned

to the company’s four core values: be a game-changer, be results orientated, be caring, and have fun.

The staff culture at Pacvac is one that supports and nurtures passion, learning and growth, both personally with each staff member, and collectively as an organisation. Staff are provided with ongoing opportunities to pursue their passion through further education and qualifications, take part in team building exercises, and stay informed on the latest in global and industry related developments.

I feel that my passion, knowledge and experience in strategic planning, international distribution, contract negotiation and training can further enhance the Sales and Customer Service teams, helping the company move forward in achieving its goals.

Pacvac’s General Manager, Tylyn Binckes, believes Sorrel is a valuable asset to the organisation, which along with herself and Executive Director Donna Rothwell, is female-led. Binckes said: “Sorrel brings her incredible experience and strength as a leader to our sales team at Pacvac. Of course, her vast background across industries is impressive, but it was her professionalism, her drive and determination that stood out to us in the interviewing process.”

When asked why she thinks Pacvac has remained ahead of the time with its employment of female leaders, Binckes puts it down to simply finding the right person for the job. She explained: “We believe that emotional intelligence is equally as important as qualifications and experience at Pacvac, and we’re thrilled that this has resulted in both talented and capable males and females in leadership positions throughout our departments.”

The team at Pacvac are excited to welcome Sorrel on board, and look forward to her leading the sales team with her global expertise.
