EDITOR’S NOTE THE TEAM

Welcome to the 2023/24 Tomorrow’s Cleaning Products & Services Guide

2022 proved to be quite a challenging year for the cleaning and hygiene industry, as years of stymied growth from COVID-19 made way for economic turmoil which – at the time of writing – is still affecting businesses worldwide.

We’ve seen supply chain problems and rising energy costs pile pressure onto our industry, recruitment woes continuing to cause staff shortages, a horrific war taking place Europe, and the spectre of a recession has been looming over the UK.

However, the cleaning and hygiene industry remains a resilient and vital one, and over the last 12 months we’ve continued to see remarkable growth in the field of cleaning technology. Robotics, co-botics and automation continue to improve and advance as they become a more common sight in public spaces. People seem to be reacting positively to their increasing presence while cleaners work

alongside them, carrying out the more detailed, advanced cleaning jobs that can – at the moment, at least – only be done by hand.

It’s not just this technology that has been impressing people over the last year,

though, as innovation across every corner of the industry has been spectacular. One of 2022’s highlights was the long-awaited return of Interclean Amsterdam,

which took place at the RAI Amsterdam for the first time since 2018. It was great to see so many innovative new products and services on offer at the massive

industry showcase, and we’re looking forward to what further developments the next year will bring.

We trust that you will find this comprehensive guide to the cleaning world useful, as inside this handy Products & Services Guide you will find all the necessary

information from the key players across all sectors of the industry. From carpet cleaning to wipes and microfibres, dosing equipment to waste management, it’s all here in this definitive guide to the cleaning industry.

We hope this serves you well over the next 12 months – and here’s to a great year ahead!
