The Period Dignity Awards


Criteria: Citron Hygiene and Aunt Flow have sponsored a new Loo Of The Year Award for 2023. Entrants will be able to choose to enter this award like they can with the present Eco Award. For those who do wish to enter the Period Dignity Awards the following criteria will be looked for when inspecting and judging.


· Period product dispensers are provide in all women’s and unisex washroom facilities.


· Period products are made of high-quality materials, preferably plastic free and 100% cotton.


· All products to be in adequately stocked dispensers.


· Clear Signage to inform menstruators that the period products are free and to take only what they needed.


· Provision of free menstrual waste disposal bags, from touch free dispensers in each cubicle.


· Provision of Safe and Hygienic menstrual waste bins, again preferably in every cubicle and touch free.


· All bins for the disposal of menstrual products to be lined. (Preferably with bio- degradable liners).


· A safe and proper menstrual waste disposal management contract with a third party who is a certified provider.
