GOES NORTH The winner of the BCC’s ‘Site Supervisor of the Year Award’ said she was ‘completely overwhelmed’ to have won.

Cara Galloway, who is supervisor at The Rock Shopping Centre in Bury, said she was proud to be named as a finalist, but couldn’t actually believe it when she heard her name read out on stage in front of the hundreds of assembled guests.

It was a double celebration for her team, as The Rock was also awarded with the ‘Best Cleaned Premises in a Shopping Mall’.

THE CLEANING INDUSTRY

CELEBRATES ITS BEST Representatives from the cleaning industry were out in full force at the 2015 Golden Service Awards, held in the prestigious London Hilton on Park Lane, with organisers saying it was the best attended event yet.

In a glittering awards ceremony, organised by Kimberly-Clark Professional in partnership with BICSc, C&M Magazine and Lynn Webster Consultants, the best and brightest in the industry were honoured for their hard work and dedication.

After a champagne reception and three course meal, comedian and impressionist Jon Culshaw hosted the awards presentation, treating guests to an array of impressive imitations from his extensive repertoire, while the ‘Voice of the Balls’, Alan Dedicoat, assisted with voice-over duties.

Teams from across the UK were honoured for their work in cleaning facilities of all shapes and sizes, including Public Service buildings, educational establishments, hospitals, shopping malls and offices. But the biggest cheer of the night came with the final award: the Kimberly-Clark

BCC Chairman, Simon Hollingbery, presented Cara with the award onstage at the Hilton, and praised her dedication.
