SERVEST WINS £3.8M CONTRACT TO SERVICE CITY OF LONDON CORPORATION’S


PRESTIGIOUS PORTFOLIO Servest Group has won a four-year contract with The City of London Corporation to provide cleaning services to an array of prestigious buildings and sites.


Under the contract, which is worth £3.8million a year and has a possible three-year extension, 320 staff will provide a range of services to landmark sites including the Barbican Centre, the Guildhall, Mansion House and Tower Bridge. All staff will be paid the London Living Wage as a minimum and more in many cases.


The contract, which starts on 1st November, will see Servest service a portfolio of more than 90 properties and sites including schools, public buildings and attractions, investment properties, police buildings and managed offices both in and outside of the Square Mile. The contract also covers open and green spaces including Epping Forest and gives Servest a presence in notable areas including Fleet Street, Leadenhall Market and New Bond Street.

Servest won the contract under a competitive tender process that lasted around a year including prequalification. Price, quality, responsiveness, use of new science and technology and company ethos were important factors in the City of London’s decision.
