FLOORCARE & MAINTENANCE

A better path Cleaning social enterprise supporting prison leavers praises Prochem’s training.

Candidates seeking rehabilitation through upskilling and consequent employment are benefitting from training with Prochem Europe.

London-based social enterprise No Going Back Cleaning and Support Services delivers cleaning to the corporate and construction sectors. In collaboration with the No Going Back Foundation, it provides individuals transitioning from the criminal justice system with the support they need for progression into the workspace, reducing reoffending rates and transforming lives.

Chief Operating Officer Sam Worden said: “We are on a mission to promote the Cleaning and FM industry as a sustainable career path and identify transferable skills gained via training delivered inside prison.

“We had a cohort of four candidates on our most recent course at Prochem’s Training Centre, two of which run successful cleaning businesses and are being mentored and supported by No Going Back.”

Sam has nothing but praise for the 1-Day Carpet and Hard Floor cleaning courses she and her latest cohort attended in Chessington. She commented: “We learned so much at Prochem’s training centre and I know our delegates came away feeling empowered to make the right decisions about solutions and technique when it comes to cleaning carpets in particular.

“Training is fundamental to boosting confidence as much as awareness. It means you get to do the job the right way through self-improvement and that equates with a lot of job satisfaction.”

34 | TOMORROW'S CLEANING

No Going Back Cleaning and Support Services are going to be bringing new intakes of delegates to attend Prochem training every six months.

Sam added: “It was an absolute pleasure to meet the Prochem team, and we are looking forward to working in partnership with the company in the future.”

Ross Osbourne, CEO at The Maintenance Supply Co (MSC), said: “MSC was thrilled to attend Prochem’s training course alongside NGB Cleaning recently, gaining hands on experience with Prochem’s machines and chemicals. This practical training not only strengthened our sales team’s industry knowledge but also deepened our support for NGB Cleaning’s groundbreaking training initiative.

“NGB Cleaning continues to push boundaries, developing a new training academy to provide structured learning and real- world experience for individuals transitioning out of prison. Through practical training and mentorship, the programme is equipping candidates with the skills and confidence to build sustainable careers in the cleaning industry.

“This isn’t just about cleaning, it’s about changing lives. NGB Cleaning’s vision, combined with Prochem’s expertise, is creating real opportunities. We’re proud to support wherever we can.

“For the MSC sales team, they really enjoyed the experience. Seeing candidates apply their skills in real world carpet care scenarios highlighted the power of shared learning, collaboration and industry partnerships.”
