scrubber dryer. Its compact, cordless design made high- performance floor cleaning accessible, especially in schools, kitchens, cleanrooms and retail sites. That surge in demand boosted both our sales and servicing work, helping us reach new markets. New products also enhance GTS’s competitive edge, such as the SAFE-T range, for cleanroom cleaning.

What is the biggest challenge in transitioning the cleaning industry from traditional methods to i-mop technology?

We’ve found the biggest challenge in shifting users from traditional walk-behinds and mop-and-bucket systems to i-mop xl/xxl or i-mop Lite machines is overcoming resistance to change. Many cleaning teams are comfortable with their current methods and hesitant to adopt new technology. Upfront cost concerns, despite better long- term ROI, also create barriers. Users may doubt the i-mop’s performance or see it as unnecessary. Lack of training and awareness further hinders adoption. To overcome this, live demos, trial periods, ROI comparisons and training are key. Once users experience the speed, ergonomic design and efficiency gains of i-mop machines, they quickly realise the benefits – saving time, reducing water and chemical use, and delivering a deeper, safer clean.
