manager, using the proper cleaning tools can help limit the spread and overall impact of an outbreak.
Can you tell us about how the new RiteFlex range came about?
The pandemic has brought the need for better cleaning solutions and processes into sharp focus for everyone. Dispensers are integral to deliver accurate, effective and safe doses of cleaning chemical that will enable you to meet these new hygiene requirements and expectations.
Consequently, facilities in many sectors are searching for ways to ensure they can clean quickly and effectively. Increasingly they are looking for tools to make cleaning efficient, but without sacrificing performance, or worker safety. They are also looking for product features such as convenience, foaming and spraying capabilities, ergonomic and flexible design, and specific integrated features that can also save them time and money. It’s why choosing an appropriate system is crucial.
The pandemic has resulted in increased demand for reliable dispensers to control cleaning costs and ensure that surfaces are being cleaned with chemicals at the right concentration. However, many customers have found it challenging to get into sites to install wall-mounted dispensers. We introduced the new RiteFlex range to give cleaning teams portable dispensing solutions that are easy to operate and deliver the time, chemical and cost savings the market demands.
How important was it for the RiteFlex range to be both cost-effective and portable?
Very important. These are the key features – backed by Hydro’s expertise – which our target customers are looking for and which have defined the development of the RiteFlex range. Handheld dispensers are ideal for organisations that use less chemical than others or want to clean in areas that are not near wall-mounted dispensers.
Convenience stores, hotels and schools can benefit from dispensers easily transported anywhere they are needed.
Portable units make the benefits of dispensing – including accuracy, efficiency, worker safety and minimal waste – attainable at a reasonable cost.
You can take it to any water source without the effort of carrying the container weight. The unit’s unique tether design allows effortless connection to containers of any size, or with any thread. Quick connect fittings are available for both the water source and the chemical. The RiteFlex is also available as a single or dual flow system – with multiple dilution rates – and a convenient on/off trigger for easy one hand use.
Not only is it easy to train employees to use handheld units, but these dispensers help maintain worker safety by eliminating manual mixing of solutions. This is especially important where employees use unfamiliar chemicals, which has been a common issue during the pandemic due to ongoing product shortages. It’s why we designed the RiteFlex units as a low-cost, portable means of accurately diluting concentrated cleaning products to fill mop buckets, sinks, auto scrubbers, tanks and other containers.
What locations and situations will most benefit from RiteFlex’s features?
All locations and situations can benefit from the RiteFlex units, especially where there might be a lack of space or budget for fixed options. These locations extend from high- traffic hotel lobbies, to school cafeterias and classrooms, to restrooms and waiting areas in healthcare facilities, to open office environments. In addition, Hydro’s handheld RiteFlex Foamer/Sprayer offers an equally convenient, low-cost, portable means of foaming and spraying chemicals over large areas.
Both units increase your chemical access points to promote use and overall cleanliness. With dispensers that deliver precise chemical measurements every time, you’ll have assurance that your employees are properly cleaning all high-touch surfaces, floors and more, and with the right chemical concentrations that maximise product efficacy.
