made it more than ideal for cleaning up even the most challenging environments. Excellent suction, rated B on hard floors and C on carpets, effectively picks up dirt, while the A-rated filtration system traps and retains up to 99.98% of dust and motor emissions.

Cleaning in busy environments like hospitality, leisure, care, education or retail, can prove to be difficult, especially when such operations are deemed to cause a disturbance. For any Facilities Manager, as well as managing operatives who have to deal with obstacles such as tight corners, low furniture, narrow aisles and limited access to power sockets, this can cause headaches when having to meet targets for efficiencies, spend and even sustainability, as well as the need for a job to be done quickly.
Launched in November, the new VCC-08A tub vacuum from Vax Commercial makes light work of such cleaning tasks. Its proven high performance instils the user with confidence that it will continually give brilliant results. The VCC-08A not only has improved pick-up and an ultra-efficient filtration system, it is ‘A’ rated overall for energy efficiency.
This iconic tub vacuum boasts a compact and robust design that has

energy consumption of just 26.6kWh per annum (currently one of the lowest figures on the market), has enabled the VCC-08A to achieve an overall A rating, backed up with independent testing.
It’s really quiet too; using the HUSH mode setting reduces its operational noise levels to just 69dB(A), making it the ideal vacuum for cleaning busy or inhabited environments, such as offices, schools and care homes, even during the day.
Brian Davies, Senior Product Manager for Vax Commercial, said: “Facilities Managers are having to source high performance products for such heavy traffic environments in order to get the cleaning results they need. However, the ever-growing need for machines that can deliver this performance whilst being used in the day, when areas are still inhabited with employees, customers or residents, continues to provide a challenge.
“This was our remit for developing the VCC-08A. This vacuum combines stability, manoeuvrability and a HUSH
mode for daytime cleaning, and delivers energy efficiency and high performance, making this machine perfect for any cleaning team.”
Easy To Handle At just 4.7kg, the VCC-08A is ultra- lightweight. It can be carried with one hand and is very easy to manoeuvre. Added convenience comes from the on-board tool storage, which houses the floor tool and extension tube neatly in a dedicated slot at the rear.
The motor is mounted in the base of the vacuum rather than in the lid, which means that the machine has superior stability and is less likely to topple when pulled around corners. This means added convenience in areas with an assault-course of furniture such as canteens, offices or dining areas.
An extra-long 16.5m cleaning reach allows you to clean further and higher without the inconvenience of having to switch plug sockets too often. In addition, the foot operated controls mean you don’t need to keep bending over to switch on and off.
“Making light work of vacuuming for the cleaning operative should not be over-looked” added Brian. “Easy to use foot controls and extra-long reach can limit the constant bending and stretching they experience, and make for time-saving efficiencies, as well as a happier team of operatives.”
