Palace Chemicals is a leading UK manufacturer of tile adhesives, grouts, flooring products and specialist building chemicals, supplying the tiling, flooring and construction sectors. Anhydrite screeds are a popular solution for contract flooring installations. Their use has grown because they offer a number of benefits over sand-cement screeds, the main advantage being that they can be laid more quickly and easily than traditional sand- cement screeds and are more cost-effective especially for larger areas, making them particularly suitable for use on large commercial contracts.


The main disadvantage is their extended drying time, which can now be greatly reduced with Pro Gyp-Base Fast Track Sealer, which is sold as a kit, containing all the elements necessary to achieve a successful bond, including a primer, moisture suppressant and gritted primer. In an ambient temperature of 20C, drying times are down to two hours for the first primer coat and 24 hours for the second primer coat.
