THE ACADEMY The Academy for Excellence in Flooring has launched two new programmes for the installation of Moduleo luxury vinyl floors.
The Academy for Excellence in Flooring is one of the UK’s most respected floor installation training centres with a range of courses to accelerate professional development in the flooring installation industry. Now, for the first time, the Academy is offering courses for the installation of Moduleo dryback and Moduleo LayRed floors.
Through the Moduleo LayRed Master Installer course, installers keen to advance their skills and win new business can now provide customers with a lifetime installation warranty every time they install Moduleo’s high-quality LayRed design floors. All programmes build on Moduleo’s reputation and put quality of service at the heart of every installation.
Both courses cover a complete installation, with specialist content as required to ensure that every attendee is rewarded with knowledge that gives the confidence to make the most of Moduleo’s design flexibility.
Under the three-day Moduleo Dryback Installer course, installers learn about

REPRESENTATIVE F. Ball and Co. Ltd. has appointed Kyle Malcolm as technical representative for the East of England.
As one of F. Ball’s regional technical representatives, he will provide expert technical advice, training and on-site assistance to flooring contractors, distributors and retailers across the region on best practice in subfloor preparation and floorcovering installation and how to get the most out of F. Ball products. This will include conducting site visits and producing case-specific reports advising on the best course of action for particular flooring projects.
Kyle has 22 years’ experience in the flooring industry, including 15 years as

correct subfloor preparation, including with Flexpro self-adhesive underlay and how to set out, cut, re-bevel and bond correctly to give a high-quality installation that upholds its integrity.
For the Moduleo LayRed Master Installer course, which is fully accredited, attendees must pass a two-day course that takes them through every aspect of installing plank and herringbone with integrated underlay and click fitting. From subfloor conditions to setting out, cutting and finishing; the course ensures every attendee leaves ready to install to the highest possible standard.
