F. Ball and Co. Ltd.’s new Styccobond F58 PLUS is a fast-drying, fibre-reinforced, pressure sensitive adhesive that is ideal for the installation of LVT floorcoverings. Its fast-drying formulation offers a much speedier installation time, enabling LVT tiles and planks to be secured in place from just five minutes after adhesive application.
Transitional adhesive Developed as a ‘transitional’ adhesive, Styccobond F58 PLUS transitions from a wet-lay adhesive when initially applied to a subfloor, through a semi-wet stage to become fully pressure sensitive. The reinforcing fibres in the formulation provide resistance to lateral movement, holding tiles firmly in place and reducing the potential for them to slide around.
Easier application As well as helping to reduce movement during installation, the adhesive’s high bond strength and strong initial tack prevents excess adhesive oozing between joints, facilitating easier application.
Extended open time Offering an extended open time of around three hours, when used as a pressure-sensitive adhesive (depending on ambient conditions), Styccobond F58 PLUS allows large areas of adhesive to be applied in one application without risking late placement of the floorcovering.
Rubber floorcoverings When used as a wet-lay adhesive it is also suitable for the installation of rubber sheet and tile floorcoverings up to 2.5mm thick.

Marine certified, Emicode EC1 Plus classified Fully accredited for marine use, Styccobond F58 PLUS carries Emicode EC1 Plus classification – the highest certification for indoor air quality – and is protected against bio-degradation.
Compatible with all common substrates Styccobond F58 PLUS can be applied over STOPGAP smoothing underlayments, structurally sound, smooth, dry subfloors of concrete and sand/cement screed, plywood, flooring grade chipboard and hardboard. In addition, it can be applied directly over STOPGAP epoxy waterproof surface membranes and other non-absorbent subfloors where the surface is smooth enough to permit the installation of PVC floorcoverings. It can also be used over normal underfloor heating systems.
More for your money Styccobond F58 PLUS is available in 15L and 5L units, with each yellow tub offering over 20% more coverage than similarly packaged products sold by equivalent weight.
