OFFICE & WORKPLACE IMPRESSIVE PROFILE FOR LINKEDIN
Products from F. Ball have also been used in the refurbishment of luxury office space at LinkedIn’s Dutch headquarters in the Rembrandt Toren tower block, Amsterdam.
Flooring contractors Vloerenbedrijf Hanic BV were contracted by Snelbouw Projecten BV to refurbish the 1800m2 the business-oriented social networking service.

After removing the existing floorcoverings, mechanically preparing the subfloor and checking that the floor was sufficiently dry, contractors used Stopgap P131 general purpose primer to prepare areas of raised access flooring and Stopgap P121 acrylic primer to prepare the remaining anhydrite subfloor.
Stopgap 700 was used to provide a smooth, sound surface, ready to receive a floorcoverings over areas of raised access panels. Stopgap 300 HD heavy-duty floor levelling compound was applied to the remaining anhydrite subfloors. Fast drying and self-levelling, Stopgap 300 is suitable for use in light to heavy- duty areas and can be used over a wide range of subfloor types, including calcium sulphate, sand/cement screed and concrete.
High-performance adhesives from F. Ball were then used to secure a range of floorcoverings at the LinkedIn headquarters. Styccobond F3 was used to adhere custom printed carpet designed specially for LinkedIn. Styccobond F44 acrylic adhesive, which gives a high bond strength, strong initial tack and a long open time, was used to adhere Bolon PVC sheet floorcoverings to kitchen and bathroom areas. Finally, Styccobond F41 carpet tile tackifier was used to install Interface carpet tiles to office areas.

IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE Executives at a Premier League football club are now enjoying their very own indoor patch of turf thanks to the strength of F. Ball’s Styccobond F3 textile floorcovering adhesive, which has been used to create a striking grass wall-effect focal point in their offices.
The project, part of an extensive refurbishment of a 1000m2 office area, sees the wall ‘pitch’ taking pride of place in the club’s business support departments, including fans’ membership and ticket services.
To create the grass wall feature, contractors from PMH Flooring applied Styccobond F3 adhesive to plywood panels affixed to an internal wall and placed artificial grass strips vertically, in a similar fashion to putting up wallpaper. Once in position, the ‘grass’ was pinned with nails as the adhesive dried to secure the fixture.
On the floor, a mixture of grey Milliken Clerkenwell Triangular Path and Naturally Drawn Watercolour Lesson carpet tiles were positioned randomly and secured using F. Ball’s Styccobond F41 carpet tile tackifier to create a unique installation in the open- plan area, with light green versions adding a pop of colour inside the seven meeting rooms.
Complementing the ‘grass’ feature wall, Forbo Allura wood LVT planks were installed in a chevron formation, also known as ‘Hungarian herringbone’, to complete a natural-looking breakout meeting place.
