WOOD WORK EXPERT
Woodpecker reveals course dates for two new hands-on training courses to be held at FloorSkills and details of its free online course for distance learning.
The Woodpecker story started three generations ago, with an unrivalled passion and knowledge of wood. Our love and experience of timber is found in everything we do, and our four-day course, hosted by FloorSkills, will focus on Woodpecker wood flooring products and installation guidelines, using tools, equipment and subfloor products to fit wood flooring in a real-life environment.
This is the perfect opportunity to enhance your knowledge and boost your customer satisfaction, gain know-how that is a cut above your competitors, and build on your skills to build up your sales.
The four-day Woodpecker Floating and Fixed Wood Flooring Course is suitable for installers of all skill levels, and the course covers all you need to know to excel in laying Woodpecker floors.
Held at FloorSkills in Solihull, the course costs £795 (plus vat) per person. There are two dates available for this course; Tuesday 23 June to Friday 26 June 2020, and Monday 3 August to Thursday 6 August, 2020.
A two-day Woodpecker Parquet and Pattern Wood Flooring Course is suitable for installers who have completed the Floating and Fixed Wood Plank course and are looking to increase their ability further.
The course, also held at FloorSkills Solihull, costs £395 (plus vat) per person. There are two dates available for this course; Thursday 9 July – Friday 10 July 2020, and Thursday 27 August – Friday 28 August 2020.
GO THE DISTANCE For those looking for distance learning with Woodpecker Flooring, a free online course called Woodpecker Expert is also available. In stages, online modules will enable you to take your training just as far as you need to suit your role requirements.
The first online stage, Wood Floor Principles, explores wood floor trends, timber, floor types, styles, maintenance and many other foundational topics.
The second stage, Meet the Products, is a face-to-face session where you will handle the products and understand the exciting characteristics of Woodpecker Flooring.
The third online stage, Preparing to Install, helps you discover the core elements of evaluation, testing, moisture control and acclimatisation that lie behind (and beneath) a wood floor installation.
The fourth online stage, Great Installations, highlights professional level skills that turns our beautiful material into a beautiful floor, and how to maintain it effectively.
This free course from Woodpecker is delivered in collaboration with the NWFA, and is also supported by a free professional helpline.
