EDITOR’S VOICE
With the outbreak of Covid-19 and the effects of Brexit taking centre stage over the past 18 months, it would be easy to assume that the environment and climate change have been put on the back burner.
However, this is such a vital area for the construction and specification sectors as more and more architects and designers look towards achieving sustainability certifications for their projects. As such, every step of the specification process is under scrutiny.
Flooring manufacturers are, therefore, highly committed to reducing their environmental impact through making their processes more sustainable and ensuring that waste can be recycled for a fully circular economy. As well as this, new solutions are being introduced to help create healthier spaces that improve user’s wellbeing.
In this issue, we hear from some of the biggest UK flooring manufacturers on the sustainable steps that they are taking and how far they are on their carbon- neutral quests.
I hope you enjoy reading!
