NIC FM Services Group has announced the successful mobilisation of its latest stadia partnership with Nottingham Forest Football Club, further strengthening its position as one of the UK’s leading providers of facilities management services to the sports and leisure sector.

The partnership sees NIC delivering specialist stadium cleaning services, ensuring supporters, players and staff enjoy a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the football season.

The appointment represents another significant milestone in the company’s continued growth, adding one of English football’s most historic clubs to its expanding portfolio of prestigious stadia partnerships.

Every successful matchday relies on far more than the action on the pitch. Behind every fixture is a dedicated team working tirelessly to prepare concourses, hospitality areas, public spaces and supporter facilities, helping to create an exceptional experience for thousands of fans.

Gavin Glossop, National Operations Director at NIC FM Services Group, said: “We are incredibly proud to be partnering with Nottingham Forest Football Club. This appointment reflects the dedication of our people, the strength of our operational expertise and the trust we have built through consistently delivering excellence for our clients.

“Mobilising a stadium of this scale requires meticulous planning, teamwork and collaboration. I would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and professionalism throughout the mobilisation process. We are also delighted to welcome our new colleagues to the NIC family and look forward to working together to deliver outstanding service throughout the season.”

OCS recommends Mitie acquisition

Facilities management giant OCS has announced its recommended acquisition of Mitie in a £3.1bn cash deal, bringing together two complementary businesses specialising in facilities management and beyond.

In a release seen by Tomorrow’s Cleaning, OCS said: “The proposed combination would create a UK-headquartered international FM group with broader sector expertise and geographic reach, bringing together two businesses with complementary strengths, a shared British heritage and an entrepreneurial spirit.”

The proposed combination would, the company believes, strengthen the group’s ability to support existing and new customers operating in increasingly complex, regulated and mission critical environments.

By broadening its portfolio of self-delivered specialist facilities services and continuing to invest in people, technology and operational excellence, OCS says the

combined group would be better positioned to help customers navigate evolving operational, regulatory and compliance requirements while supporting long term resilience and performance.

Rob Legge, Group CEO of OCS, said: “While there is a long process ahead, both businesses remain focused on supporting customers and delivering the high standards they expect every day. Together, we can build something remarkable for our colleagues, our customers and the country.”

Phil Bentley, Chief Executive Officer at Mitie, added: “As part of a larger group with a wider geographical footprint, Mitie would have an even stronger platform to invest in our people, technology and services, and to do even more for the customers and communities we support.”

Completion of the acquisition is subject to terms and conditions made in the announcement, including approval by Mitie’s shareholders and regulatory approval.
