Editor’s Voice The second half of the year always starts to pick up following a
bit of a summer lull, and as people return from their holidays the cleaning sector looks to the busy months ahead. With all manner of new technologies, formulations and ideas being implemented across every corner of the market, we’re here to bring you all the latest news and developments from the industry.
In our August edition of Tomorrow’s Cleaning we’ve got a bumper
focus on Leisure and Hospitality, as Essity’s Jeremy Bennett looks at how some festivals are providing VIP toilets for those willing
to pay extra, and considers how organisers could work towards making standard festival facilities more comfortable instead. We
also hear from BICSc, who reveal to us how they can help provide brilliant guest experiences, and we learn how a top-class hotel got an upgrade thanks to SEKO.
In our Robotics and Automation section, ToolSense’s Alexander Manafi discusses why the future of robotics in FM isn’t going to be won on the showroom floor, but on the dashboard. We find
out more about Robert Scott’s new AI-powered cobotic cleaning models, CleanManager explain how a Danish municipality went
from one to 430 cleaning robots, and Tennant lets us know why automation is a must in hospitality.

Finally, in our Pest Control feature, the BPCA’s Rosina Robson talks to us about a new independent report which sets out the scale and impact of professional pest control, while Sophie Thorogood from Pelsis discusses how bed bugs have evolved and adapted over the years – and why understanding behavioural changes is essential.
Thank you very much for reading, and I hope you enjoy the issue!
