High levels of award entries have already been received for this year’s Loo of the Year Awards.

Now in its 28th year, the independently- run awards aim to celebrate the UK’s best away-from-home washrooms and applaud the providers that offer the cleanest, most hygienic facilities.

The awards cover 60 categories including commercial, retail, hospitality and leisure, and Loo of the Year Managing Director Mike Bone is already delighted with the number of entries they have received so far.

A New Club For The Industry

A new cleaning and soft service related professional networking community has been founded, paying tribute to the founder of BICSc and the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners.

The Hill Club, named after the late Eric Hill, was created by a group of industry professionals from a broad spectrum of organisations and disciplines, with the aim of providing a comfortable environment for business people within the cleaning industry to connect, network and establish mutually beneficial commercial relationships.

The club will feature cleaning contractors, specialist insurers, industry PR specialists, FM recruiters, janitorial suppliers, washroom service providers and industry cleaning specialists, alongside an array of FM organisations and service procurers.

Phil Smith, Corporate Relationship Director at Facilicom UK and one of the founders of the Hill Club, said:

This year’s awards will be held on December 4th at the St Johns Hotel in Solihull, and Mike Bone also revealed that Airdri and Clos-o-Mat will once again be sponsoring the event, alongside Awards Supporters SCA, Danfo and Bonasystems.

Last year’s overall winner was public toilet contractor Danfo, while the

“The Cleaning Industry occasionally needs a moment to catch up with itself, share best practice, connect with new ideas and innovations and develop great opportunities through partnership and shared enterprise.
