New Generation of Water Quality Monitoring Products Launched
Partech Instruments (UK) has announced the introduction of the new generation WaterWatch Range of water quality monitoring products for applications in effluent, water and wastewater treatment. This new development is built around advanced 7300 Monitor which incorporates RS485 digital communications with a suite of industry-proven sensors, including the latest version of the TurbiTech self-cleaning sensor.
With the development of the WaterWatch Range, Partech is now offering a multiple sensor capability for its Suspended Solids, Dissolved Oxygen, Turbidity and Sludge Density, pH, Ammonia and Oil on Water sensors. Working with the Partech 7300 Monitor will enable customers to make space savings, generate cost savings in terms of hardware and achieve higher levels of operating efficiency. A Base Model 7300 Monitor is now available that allows users access to two conventional 4-20mA analog output signals. Also available is an Advanced Model 7300 Monitor providing the option of Profibus Serial Communications, which allows plant designers and fabricators to reduce installation costs and plant managers to more readily access vital plant data in order to take action or determine if a site visit is justified.
“The WaterWatch Range takes advantage of the simple, easy-to-use menu structure that users of existing Partech monitors are already familiar with,” says Angus Fosten, Partech Sales and Marketing Director. “We have built on this facility by adding larger

Angus Fosten says that this development represents a ‘platform’ of advanced instrumentation designed to meet the requirements of Partech’s customers well into the future. “We have made a detailed study of our customer’s requirements and requests and taken into account the global market in which the water industry operates,” continues Angus Fosten. “The WaterWatch Range will take our proven technologies into a new era and create more opportunities for all our customers. We shall be backing up the WaterWatch Range with our Customer Support Service package, which provides a wide range of services including site survey visits to determine the nature of the application and identify the correct locations for instruments. This includes a fully trained Profibus engineer, together with the full range of Partech after sales training, installation and service contracts.”

Based on their patented “linear shuttle” technology, Nitto Kohki (Germany) has introduced the larger LAM-200 blower to their market leading range of LA series blowers. The eagerly anticipated big brother is born!
Air-blowers are commonly used in wastewater treatment systems, aquatic & pond applications as well as sulphur scrubbing on biogas applications. The “linear shuttle” technology removes the need for troublesome diaphragms and so offers the benefit of much longer lifetimes.
Their existing product range offered air flow of 7,2 m³/h at 180mbar (normally 1.8 meter water depth ), whilst their new big brother gives a superior 12m³/h airflow at 200mbar (normally 2 meters water depth).
Therefore the new LAM-200 can be used in larger plants that historically were unable to take advantage of Nitto Kohki’s superior “linear shuttle” technology. The LAM is also an interesting alternative to rotary disc and by-pass channel pumps. With a power consumption of only 220W and whisper-quiet 48dB(A) noise, the new model is an ecological and quiet solution.
Besides their Air blowers, Nitto Kohki offers a wide range of “Linear Shuttle” air-pumps, liquid–pumps and diaphragm-pumps all with AC and DC options. Additionally they manufacture ranges of quick release couplers and Pneumatic Tools.

As an engineer you rely on precise measurement and control to assure that your process performs consistently. Reliable transfer of process media is dependent upon specialised pumps that operate continuously in critical environments without contaminating the liquid or gas used in the process.
KNF Neuberger (Germany) manufacture specialised pumps for exhaust emission and stack gas sampling, explosion proof pumps for hazardous locations, double safety diaphragm pump for rare and dangerous gases, and high flow sample pumps and compressors for durable, corrosion-free performance.
