8 Gas Detection Small size and lightweight 5 gas monitor is ideal for confi ned spaces
GX-3R Pro is the smallest and lightest 5 gas monitor in the market. In addition to combustible gases, oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfi de, you can select +1 sensor for example sulfur dioxide or Carbon dioxide. Furthermore, full-dot display easy to see can displays 11 languages, and it can be used in an environment of -40ºC to + 60ºC, so it meets a wide range of needs. The newly developed sensors have 3 year warranty. In addition, using SDM-3R daily maintenance and gas adjustment, it is possible to minimize maintenance time and cost.

Personal protection against hydrogen sulphide exposure
Delivering superior protection against hazardous VOC (volatile organic compound) exposure for workers is one of ION Science’s leading aims as a business. As a leading manufacturer of technologically advanced gas detection equipment and OEM PID gas sensors, ION Science is always looking for new ways to support the end-user against dangerous gas exposures. The latest wearable ARA H2
S (hydrogen sulphide) single gas detector signals a new focus on
protecting staff from the dangers of exposure, and aids in health and safety compliance for businesses.
Hydrogen sulphide is present in several industries, notably in anaerobic environments where organic material is in use, such as wastewater and sewage plants, paper and pulp processing, biogas, and fertiliser production. Many people are familiar with the rotten egg smell associated with hydrogen sulphide, although at high levels of concentration it can cause anosmia, rendering it undetectable. Hydrogen sulphide is classed as a hazardous VOC, and exposure to it can cause irritation to the respiratory system, eyes, and stomach even at low concentrations. Higher concentrations of the gas can lead to unconsciousness, coma, and even death. Between 2001 and 2010, hydrogen sulphide exposure was responsible for the deaths of 60 workers in the USA alone. Many workers who are exposed to fatal levels of hydrogen sulphide could have been protected and saved with units such as the ARA H2
S.
The ARA H2S is designed to protect users from toxic levels of exposure to hydrogen sulphide. Classed as an item of personal protective equipment (PPE), the ARA H2
S is completely maintenance free and
offers continuous monitoring of exposure to hydrogen sulphide levels. No need to change batteries or sensors or worry about product reliability, the e-chem detection technology inside can operate without interference. It offers a choice of display for users, either a lifetime countdown or concentration lifetime exposure, and it’s possible to switch between the two if desired. The ARA H2
S can also provide short
term exposure limits (STEL) or eight hour time weighted average (TWA) readouts for greater visibility into the overall health of a worker.
Each unit is designed with a two-year lifespan, and the ARA H2 that period. Once activated, the ARA H2
S operates without compromise over S will continuously operate
until the end of the two-year period, giving you appropriate warnings so you can source a replacement in time. There is also the option for a three-year lifespan model which offers a hibernation mode, ideal for contractors or consultants who only visit site on occasion. ION Science also offers a recycling scheme for units that reach the end of their lifespan, as part of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE), ensuring units are recycled in an environmentally friendly way.
Designed with practical applications in mind, the ARA H2 S unit weighs just 92g and is equipped with
a sturdy clip for attaching to a lapel or strap for wearing within the breathing zone. At only 87mm in length, it does not impede worker movement and is suitable for use in confi ned space working, such as maintenance to pipes or tankers. As an intrinsically safe model, users can be assured it’s safe in all environments, with a three-signal system of a fl ashing light, audible alarm, and vibration to alert the wearer of exposure levels reaching dangerous concentrations.
When it comes to protecting worker health and safety, the ARA H2 S is a key piece of PPE that
could make the difference between life and death. Exposure to hydrogen sulphide, even in low concentrations, can have devastating effects on health and it is a business’s responsibility to ensure workers are able to live and work safely. Using PPE devices like the ARA H2
S ensures that at the end
of the day, regardless of how dangerous a situation, workers are protected, aware, and able to keep themselves safe from exposures as much as possible.

O/CA-10 sensor by O solutions that contain methanol as
improve selectivity and precision Swiss gas sensor specialists Membrapor strive continuously to improve the selectivity of their sensors to provide even more accurate, selective and safe measurements. This year has been no exception and several enhancements have already come to fruition.
Membrapor upgraded their CH2
eliminating its cross-sensitivity to methanol. For selective measurements of formaldehyde (CH2
O) concentrations in applications with aqueous CH2
a stabiliser (“Formalin”). Such solutions are typically used for the fi xation or preservation of biological tissue and cells.
The ETO/CA-10’s cross-sensitivity to carbon monoxide (CO) has been reduced. For selective measurements of ethylene oxide (ETO) concentrations in applications where small amounts of CO, possibly due to vehicle traffi c, are present. ETO gas is widely used as a sterilisation agent for a wide range of applications.
Membrapor also launched the AsH3/C-1 and the AsH3/M-1 sensors - two extremely sensitive sensors, which enable the highly toxic gas arsine to be measured in the ppb range. They also designed a gas cap for their compact sensors (7-series). The cap can be used with Membrapor’s digital or analogue electronics as pre-calibrated units.

58736pr@reply-direct.com The times they are a-changin’….
especially in gas sensing technology Handheld portable devices are now smaller and lighter, DD-Scientifi c have compacted the sensing excellence of their 4 series package into a small but mighty DceL package.
The DceL might be the leader of the miniatures but DD- Scientifi c also have the popular (and smaller) F14 and MceL cells that enable manufacturers of hand held portable monitoring and measuring equipment to focus upon the ergonomics and form factors of their product design. Whilst lead based oxygen sensors currently enjoy an exemption from Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) legislation, this is scheduled to end in July 2024 from which point manufacturers may no longer sell new instruments using lead-based technology.

Fortunately, DD-Scientifi c has spent considerable time and effort in developing a lead-free alternative solution delivering compliance with legislation as well as signifi cantly enhanced performance and sensor working lifetimes. DD-Scientifi c have supported and support clients, through any industry or market trends and will continue to do so for many more decades.

Extended temperature range available for range email:
of highly precise and reliable gas sensors LogiDataTech GmbH’s MF420-P product range has been using a catalytic sensor (pellistor) to determine the concentration of explosive gases and vapours reliably and accurately in an air mixture for many years. In addition, they can also monitor for hydrogen, methane or LPG, as well as gases from the alcohol family such as methanol, ethanol, propane.
For More Info, email: email:
The measuring range of the gases is 0 to 100% LEL. The concentration is output via a 4 to 20 mA interface for further processing. In addition to the previously available temperature range of -10° to +50°C, a temperature range of -30°C - +60°C is now also available. The system is delivered in a robust aluminium housing with IP54 certifi ed protection, which can also be used in dusty or dirty environments.
In combination with LogiDataTech’s limit value detectors (GWZ), reliable gas detection systems for detecting explosive gases and vapours in the ambient air can be set up at low cost. Typical applications for the system are storage rooms with explosive gases and vapours, refrigeration systems or process monitoring.
