First Tee teams up with P4P
From promoting healthy lifestyles to hosting monthly tournaments and even offering college scholarships, The First Tee of Phoenix provides its members with the tools they need to succeed, not only on the golf course, but in life. The organization now reaches more than 100,000 kids in Maricopa County through regular programming at 16 locations around the Valley, as well as 10 school districts in the Phoenix area through its National School Board Program. The First Tee of Phoenix
always has relied on the support of Valley communities and donations from their respective residents, but now there’s a way to give to The First Tee of Phoenix and get something back other than a warm heart and a tax break. Recently, Putts 4 Privileges (P4P) — a golf membership program which offers discounts at numerous Valley golf courses — pledged 50 percent of all online sales to The First Tee of Phoenix. Visit
https://p4pgolf.com/ to learn more and save on golf. “We’re thrilled about our
new relationship with Putts 4 Privileges,” said Kevin Terry, executive director of The First Tee of Phoenix. “We pride ourselves in growing the game of golf and benefiting our local youth,
much the same way P4P does. It’s an outstanding relationship.” Interested in joining The First
Tee of Phoenix? The program has an annual fee of $100, which covers all instruction and access to the facility where you plan on attending classes. The year is divided into four sessions that will implement the First Tee Life Skills Experience, part of a nationally recognized character- development curriculum.
Membership scholarships are available, and are awarded by a case-by-case method based on individual need. The First Tee of Phoenix also accepts membership and equipment donations. For more information, visit www.

Patriot will ring out ‘17
The seventh annual Patriot All-America Invitational tees off Dec. 27-31 at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park. The event is regarded as a top amateur event internationally, attracting PING All-America golfers from all three NCAA Divisions, NAIA and NJCAA rankings as well as from universities outside the United States. The tournament is a collaboration
between the Arizona Golf Association (AGA), JDM Partners and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) in partnership with the Folds of Honor Foundation. The Patriot All-America will continue the
tradition to represent a fallen soldier. Every participant will receive a golf bag at the event’s opening ceremony with the name and branch of service of a fallen or injured military member whom they shall represent. At the end, the bags are auctioned by the player’s school. n
