Remember the old adage – failing to plan is planning to fail. Do not leave it to the last minute, an award-worthy entry needs thought and planning. • Identify the basis of your entry – have you launched a new service, carried out a specific project or do you simply want to highlight something that you do well?
• Choose your category – see
https://awards.bifa.org/categories/categories- 2021 – you can enter a maximum of three business categories in addition to nominating entrants to the individual categories.
• Give yourself time to write the first draft – download the entry form and check the submission criteria at

• Enlist the input of colleagues and customers (remember to seek permission if your entry features a specific shipment/customer).
• Proof-read and edit your submission then ask someone else, a fresh pair of eyes, to read and critique it too. Does it make sense? Have you conveyed the energy of your business? What makes your story stand out?
