Desty Marine commits to MDL marina

Solar panel and charge controller

The SR 76L ALLinONE solar panel for boats from Solbian Energie Alternative Srl is easy to fit and simple to connect. All the electronics are pre-packed into a rugged waterproof box with a sophisticated MPPT charge controller, enabling each 15-cell panel to convert sunlight into 76 Watts of power for either 12 or 24 volt batteries. Due to the integrated controller,

panels can be combined by simply connecting them directly to a battery, each one being completely independent from the others. Individual panels measure 1,364

mm long x 365 mm wide and weigh 1.3 kg. Solbian Energie Alternative Srl info@solbian.eu www.solbian.eu

O

ne of several long-term tenants at Hamble Point Marina on the South Coast of England,

Desty Marine International Ltd has completed four new ten-year leases with MDL. The family-run yacht repair and refit company has been an important tenant at Hamble Point for almost 30 years and provides valuable services to MDL’s berth-holders. The range of purpose-built units at Hamble Point makes it an ideal location for marine businesses, Desty Marine being no exception. Neil Desty, Managing Director, confirmed: “The Hamble is the

Mecca for yachting, making Hamble Point the ideal location for our business. It’s central to everything and offers quick access to and from The Solent, meaning clients are easily able to access our services”. He continued, “MDL has been

really reactive to what we need, delivering solutions to every challenge we’ve faced as a growing company. From new offices, to greater shed space, with roller shutters to accommodate MDL’s 75-ton boat hoist, which is invaluable in enabling us to move the larger vessels that we work on, their service is impeccable, efficient and effective. It is for these reasons

that we have committed to remaining at Hamble Point for the long term”. Richard Broadribb, MDL Property

Director, replied: “We are delighted that we have been able to support Desty Marine in growing their business and that they have committed to renewing their long- term lease. Our tenants are a very important part of our marinas and their services perfectly combine with the extensive facilities offered to our berth-holders and visitors at Hamble Point Marina”.
