INTRODUCING HACKNEY BRIDGE: EAST LONDON’S NEW CULTURAL DESTINATION
From the team behind Pop Brixton and Peckham Levels comes Hackney Bridge: East London’s newest cultural destination.
Situated in a prime canalside location in Hackney Wick, the venue’s vibrant outdoor dining space, The Courtyard, is open for bookings and walk-ins. The perfect spot for alfresco drinking and dining, the space features a bar serving cocktails, local craft beer and speciality wine, plus a wide-range of street food from some of London’s best-loved traders. Expect Neapolitan pizzas, fresh pasta, stuffed tacos, Filipino BBQs, salt beef bagels, fish burgers and much more, with something for all dietary requirements. Yet to open is Hackney Bridge’s Sunday market – which will feature quality fresh produce and independent retailers and makers - and Hackney Bridge Kitchens, a giant indoor dining hall featuring yet more of London’s finest food traders. Both will open later in the year.
Street food in Hackney Bridge’s The Courtyard comes courtesy of seven traders all from Hackney and the surrounding areas. For those looking for a classic East End treat, The Jewish Deli are onsite with traditionally-made hot salt beef, bagels, latkes, falafel & reuben sandwiches. Seafood fans can expect delicious soft shell crab and fish
burgers from Da Fish Ting, and meat- lovers can rejoice, as STEAKhaus are on hand to deliver succulent and sustainable steak and chips, and Filigrillz are serving up authentic Filipino flame-grilled meats and combos. Elsewhere, Hermanos Taco House is dishing up mouth-watering tacos and burritos with a twist, and fans of Italian cuisine can enjoy classic neapolitan pizzas from Made in Puglia, and fresh, seasonal pasta dishes from Pasta E Basta.
Every Wednesday at Hackney Bridge, each trader will be serving up special dishes for just £5 – perfect for an affordable dinner or snack alongside alfresco drinking.
As well as a bar serving delicious cocktails and the very best craft beer London has to offer, guests at The Courtyard can also expect speciality wines from Silver Lining, the UK’s first dedicated orange and natural skin contact wine bar. For those looking for a mid-week tipple, cocktails at Hackney Bridge will be half price all- day every Thursday. Accompanying the food and drink offering at The Courtyard will be a number of great events throughout the summer, including screenings of the Euros and select Wimbledon matches on a giant 2m x 3.5m outdoor screen. Later this summer, guests at Hackney Bridge can expect the launch of a Sunday market, featuring quality produce and sustainable goods from independent retailers all over Hackney. This will be followed by the launch of Hackney Bridge Kitchens, an impressive food hall at the heart of the site. As well as nine new food traders, the Kitchens will also feature a bar serving locally brewed beers and refreshments, all under one roof. With indoor seating for over 100 customers.
On top of its impressive public offering, Hackney Bridge also features workspace and studios for artists, makers and small businesses, supporting local enterprises by giving them the space they need to thrive. The space is currently home to an exciting and eclectic mix of local independents, including an inclusive beauty salon, a skateboard workshop, illustrators, brewers, furniture makers, music producers, social enterprises, charities and more. The site is also home to a number of independent retailers, who are now open for business.
