only be accessed by BLDC delegates. You can also view the keynote presentation, which can be found in the Keynote Speakers Chalet, where it is the featured presentation. Some of our delegates spent time exploring
the Campus and related their experiences with us. We not only received favorable comments on the platform’s classrooms, exhibit hall and galleries, but many were pleased to see that networking and private conversations were easily accommodated. Other delegates were more adventurous, spending time on the soccer field or on the ocean in a speedboat. (Yes, the Campus is an island!) It was suggested that these added features could be used for virtual team building.
Future Use The Networking and Event Campus is ours to use until our contract expires next February, so we want to make good use of it. The ICI plans on using it for our 2021 webinars and to support Members who cannot travel to Grand Rapids this November for the 68th Technical Conference and Expo. We are also exploring opportunities where the Campus
can be used for “live” classroom events, an industry wide “Career Day”, discussion groups, and in support of this year’s Process Control Seminar. I am also strongly encouraging all ICI Committees and even the Board of Directors to consider using the Campus for meetings. Use of the Campus is not limited to official ICI activities. It
is available to all of our Members to support their business and commercial activities. So, if you have not visited the Campus yet, it may be worth a few minutes of your time to do so. I am sure that you will be impressed. Just contact Barbara Tiseo for information.
Don’t Feel Left Out! If you did not attend this year’s BLDC, you still have the opportunity to view the presentations that made this event rank as one of our top business learning events. The ICI is providing Members, who did not register for the event, access to the Campus and the BLDC Gallery, where all 11 of our highly rated guest speaker presentations reside. What we are not making available are the recordings from
the Annual General Meeting, the 2020 Business Review and the Investment Casting North American Outlook. Additionally, downloads of presentation slides are only available to BLDC attendees, and will also not be made available to post-event registrants. forward to resuming live events. Our first opportunity to see each other again is the 68th Technical Conference and Expo, taking place at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, MI, November 7-10, 2021. Next year’s events include the BLDC, which will be held at
the Hotel Valley Ho, right in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona, and the 15th World Conference on Investment Casting, taking place at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim CA. The ICI Staff and I are very excited to returning to normal
event operations, and cannot wait to see you (face to face) again, real soon.
