Practical activity 4
Group work AIM
In this activity we will see how different metals have different conducting abilities.
MATERIALS • 1,5 V cell • 1,5 V bulb • connecting wires • pieces of different metal wire such as copper, nichrome, tungsten or steel (a strand of steel wool)
QUESTIONS 1 Plan an investigation to find out how different metal conductors in a series circuit conduct electricity differently.
2 Write a hypothesis and a prediction. 3 Name the variables. 4 State how you will make sure the test is fair. 5 Carry out your investigation. 6 Record your results and conclusion. 7 Evaluate your investigation and suggest ways to improve it.
