Irode (and fell off)alot of riding school poniesbut neverhad my own. Idid however inherit my older sister’shorse when she headed to Uni. HOWDID YOU START

EVENTING? Icame to England formystudiesat the UniversityofWarwick. Ihad my ownhorse at alivery yard butIdidn t knowmuch about eventing yet. Idrove pastacouple of horse trials which caught my interest. It looked so much fun! Isigned up to British Eventing, had agood read of the rule book and off Iwent formy firstBE90.I got eliminated three timesinarow as my horse would alwaysslam the brakes at the water. Nevertheless,I really enjoyed it, persisted, and startedworking part time at eventyards to learn my trade.

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR PEOPLE STARTING IN EVENTING?

Sit tight! Eventing has itsups and downs but it’s well worth the ride! Aim at creating agood partnership with your horse and that will laythe foundation for afun and hopefully successfulfuture.
