Dartmouth Food Festival: 22nd-24th October 2021 (Covid permitting,

please subscribe to our newsletter for updates) A ‘must do’ for foodies. The festival started in 2002 as a few stalls and has now grown into a major event with demonstrations from some of the country’s top chefs. Described in The Tele- graph as a ‘heady mix of celebrity chefs, parties, food markets…and tasting shacks’ it attracts visitors from all over the country. Also new for this year is Dart the Dart, a Foodie Fun Run on September 25th. Visit www.dartmouth- foodfestival. com for more details.

Shakespeare Week:

27th - 31st July After a year away (for obvious reasons!) The Inn Theatre return for Dartmouth Shakespeare Week with their open-air production of ‘The Comedy of Errors’, the closest Shakespeare ever came to writing a farce: however, we won’t be at the Dartmouth Castle this year. A new venue is being sought, for this year only, to allow for appropriate distancing and to keep everyone comfortable and safe. We are in negotiations to acquire a local venue and, if all goes according to plan, updates on that venue and ticket availability will be advertised on our website as soon as possible. The team are putting together what we know will be a fun-filled evening of comedy and drama, brought to you by the same company that has produced many of Shakespeare’s greatest plays, including Macbeth, Twelfth Night, The Dream and Othello. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to live theatre and a magical evening out. www.theinntheatrecompany.co.uk
