GINNYHOWE

Breaking in processofTommywith the help of Lauren Robson

work,at this point in time it’s alittle hard to plan when the event season might actually get going so Iamholding off on the gallops. At this time of year, it all becomesalittle

repetitive and trying to keepupmotivation with no shows or plans is a challenge. The horses however are all feeling very well, alittle too well at timesbut it’s brilliant to have them all feeling and looking so great. My fantastic feedsupplier Spillers have beensohelpful in making sure they are all on the correct feedfor the time of year. The shine on all of the horses’ coats is amazing, it is full credit to myteam and Spillers for having them look so well at this time of year. Katie, myhead girl has beenkept busy

keeping the horsestrimmedand lookingsmart whichisalways a challenge in winter! There is far too muchmud as always, the horses seem to keepgrowing their manesand tails rapidly, not to mention their coats. But on wet and miserable days like todayitgivesagood reason to attempt to stayslightly drier and do some ponypampering! Winter is always a challenge withhorses especially ones that thrive on going out competing and variation in their work. Thankfully Iamvery lucky that along with Katie and mypart time staff we can keep

their work as mixedaspossible and they can enjoy lots of hacking when the weather permits. Huge Thanks to Katie and myamazing team for making winter that little bit easier! We are extremely lucky to be able to keep

some form of normality and routine withhaving horses especially in the current national lockdown. During this time, we have not only beenkept busy with the equinesbut also Skippy, who was introducedin mylast blog! He has beenproviding much entertainment to us, as well as his social media fans. Withanevergrowing following, we at the yard aim to provide some lighthearted

entertainment to those who are not as lucky to be surroundedbyanimals and afamous pygmy goat!InSkippy’s latest videohetacklesadog agility course, Grid work withfellow equine friend and aphotoshoot for Weatherbeeta, his very own sponsor! To follow the adventuresofSkippyplease find him on Instagram @skippytheinstagoat. I’m hoping that things might be slightly more

normal for mynextblogwith the end of the Covid-19 in everyone’s sights but until thenI hope everyone stays well and safe at home.

Stay safe, Ginny x
