Hello and welcome

to the February issue of Venue Insight Magazine, the MUST HAVE publication for the UK hospitality industry.

With the vaccine roll-out in full swing we can really start to look to the future. It might be wishful thinking but perhaps by Easter we can start to properly talk about returning to ‘normal’. A great deal of operators that we have spoken to would much rather stay closed until there are no restrictions, but others want to get back into the swing of things, even if that means opening with no alcohol being served initially. Time will tell.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few months then you would have come across the latest Netflix smash, Bridgerton. The number crunchers at NetVoucherCodes.co.uk have looked at how much it would cost to host a Bridgerton style debutante ball today. They’ve looked at everything the aristocratic families would expect at a social event in the early 1800s and have calculated how much the same would be in 2021.

Megan Morass, co-Founder of creative communications agency Full Fat, explains why promoters, festival organisers, restaurateurs, theatre proprietors had better brace themselves for a busy future.

The city of Liverpool has a long standing history for its vibrant nightlife and club scene. And so the opening of the refurbished Mansion nightclub was met with eager anticipation and much hype by locals and tourists alike in early autumn 2020. We hear all about Void Acoustics recently install that has taken the venues sound to next level.

One thing that cannot be scrapped is Valentine’s Day. Brockmans Gin have knocked up a couple of stunning serves for all you lockdown lovers out there.

Keep going, good times are just around the corner.
