AGE WELL
Living with dementia
Around one in four people living in Australia and aged over 85 years has dementia.
The condition is associated with an ongoing decline of the brain and its abilities, affecting a person’s memory, thinking, behaviour and ability to perform everyday activities.
While it can have a profound effect on a person, their daily life and those around them, it is possible to live well with dementia.
It is important to keep your mind and body active, and stay socially connected in ways that suit your abilities and interests.
We can support people living with dementia or other cognitive conditions to age well with services to suit their needs.
