community work by donating money saved from not paying for meals. Donations have been made recently to the local Storehouse Food Bank and to Stag Laser Craft Face Shield programme where they are producing, free of charge, laser printed full face shields which are delivered to the NHS Hospitals, Care Homes and Carers in Fife. Members also agreed to provide treats for Carers as thanks in recognition of their work. These would include ice cream, Rotary Polio Mints and bakery treats. £200 due to be spent for the Summer KidsOut event was also to be donated to the Charity It was also agreed to continue Zoom meetings every 2 weeks until the end of June, after which weekly meetings could resume. If necessary to support any shielded members, the use of Zoom might continue ev en when normal meet ings and meals restart.
In the photos here, we see some of the bakery and sweet treats delivered to the 3 local Care Homes early in May and, 2 weeks later, some of the Carers at Balnacarron about to enjoy the ice cream delivered then. We hope the staff in the others Homes enjoyed it too. Thanks to Hazel and Owen of Janettas for the donation of the sugar cones to go with it.
