Rotary in Fife were on duty to present prizes at the Disability Sport Fife Swimming Championship held at the Michael Wo o d s S p o r t s a n d Lei sure C entre i n Glenrothes. Over 200 swimmers with physical, sensory or learning disabi l i t ies r e g i s t e r e d f o r t h e c h amp i o n s h i p a n d enjoyed 5 hours of competitive swimming. Ten Fi fe Secondary s c h o o l s t h a t h a v e departments for pupils with additional support needs contested the inter schools trophy and Woodmill High School from Dunferml i ne retained the t rophy ahead of Lochgelly High School and Madras College St Andrews. Both these events were expertly managed by Richard Brickley OBE, MBE, Chairman of DSF who led a small army of able and enthusiastic volunteers who do an excellent job in sometimes difficult situations.


Participating Rotary Clubs contribute £100 per annum to the DSF bursary programme through Rotary in Fife. All monies are paid to DSF annually.
