11. You will soon reach a five-bar gate with a smaller gate to the right of it. Go through this gate to head up a slope, still keeping the fence line to your right.


12. Continue to another double gate. Pass through the little gate and turn right along a track between two fences.

13. This path takes you back to the little car park, where you turn right to enter the woods.


14. Head back along the same track you came along on the way, but when the path splits to go up to the higher track, either turn left to head back along the upper track or stay right to continue along the lower track. For a change of scenery, we took the lower track on the way back.


15. Continue to follow this track and when it

splits in two, take the right hand fork and then turn left onto a lower path. This track takes you out of the woods for a short distance, where you can, once again, enjoy some fantastic views. Look behind you to see Oliver’s Castle.

16. Follow this track as it takes you in and out of the woods and after heading back into the woods for the third time, follow the track up a slope and straight ahead of you, you’ll see some steps, which you climb to the top.
