CASE STUDY Visually creating a chronological narrative
A Communication Partner worked with a young man with intellectual disability who became very confused when questioned about events that took place over a period of time.
Post-it notes of different colours were used to pinpoint and support the verbal questions about which school year, and which location the assaults had occurred.
The client was supported by a timeline which was made using the chronology of events already stated, such as year level at school and anchoring to specific events, such as Halloween.
