new pharmacy will create “a better customer experience, and will allow our Team to provide enhanced service”. It also gives guests a more comfortable shopping experience thanks to the additional space. A larger workspace for the pharmacy Team makes their daily tasks easier to complete, resulting in more positive guest experiences.

Hoffart is also looking forward to improvements with efficiency in the pharmacy, thanks to a blister- packing robot called SynMed. This machine automates medication packaging and frees up time for the pharmacy Team to reinvest in providing excellent customer service for guests.

Some additional improvements for the new Pharmacy include a larger selection of over-the-counter products, more consultation rooms for added privacy, additional prescription drop-off and pick-up windows, and more. Pharmacy guests can also look forward to a pharmacy website and mobile app. Watch for news about these features, coming soon!

The combined cost for the renovations at 13th Ave is approximately $2 million, with a focus on long-term sustainability by using energy efficient systems. These projects, as with past construction, were completed using local contractors. South Country Co-op has always provided support to local contractors that support the Co-operative. CEO Paul Haynes says that providing work to local contractors helps support the southern Alberta economy, and builds long-term, sustainable growth for the community in which we all live, work, and play in.

South Country Co-op’s top priority is always to their members and guests. Offering convenience, consistency, and top-notch service while supporting the communities they serve is a point of pride for the entire South Country Co-op Team. You’re invited to visit the 13th Avenue location and enjoy the same exceptional products service that have always been offered, in an updated atmosphere with even more selection!
