"Memories of the Co-op go way back to the downtown store. I remember coming to town from the farm and making the Co-op on 6th Ave our last stop. Our family has always been strong Co-op supporters, and as children we didn't even know other grocery or hardware stores existed.
My Grandfather was one of the first 100 Medicine Hat Co-op members back in 1956. His Co-op number #90 is still in our family as it is my Co-op number."
" My sister and I have been able to pass along the Cooperative values to our children. They also learned at a young age the importance of the Co-op and its benefits. My nephew was a young smart shopper, he could tell you his Co-op number before he knew is phone number."
