ALLEN BROWN JEWELLERY BREAST FRIENDS

Throughout October Allen Brown Jewellery supported Breast Friends Sutton Coldfield for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

They made a ‘Radiant Ribbon Pendant’ and people were invited to enter the draw for a minimum donation of £5.00. They then had the chance to win the pendant made in their onsite workshop with pink sapphires and diamonds to the value of £2,000. All donations totalling £1175.00 were given to Breast Friends Sutton Coldfield a support group run by unpaid volunteers who have all been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The winner of the draw was Clarice Jones from Four Oaks, who entered the draw as a surprise for her mum Angela. Angela is a member of Breast Friends and recovering after receiving treatment and both Clarice and her mum were overjoyed and delighted to win the pendant. Allen Brown commented; "We're delighted to support such a fantastic local charity and that our beautiful pendant has such a lovely new home."

MOLLY OLLY ’S WISHES FANTASTIC NIGHT OF FUNDRAISING

HATS were stealing the ‘headlines’ at a charity ball where more than £65,000 was raised for Molly Olly’s Wishes.

A marquee at Billesley Manor near Alcester was decked out in a Mad Hatter’s theme for the 9th annual Molly Olly Ball. Sporting wacky headgear, more than 500 guests were greeted by playing cards and led through a topiary garden by The Queen of Hearts and a rabbit to begin a magical evening of entertainment and fundraising.

Established in 2011 following the death of Rachel and Tim Ollerenshaw’s eight-year-old daughter Molly from a rare kidney cancer, the Warwick-based charity works to support children with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families and help with their emotional wellbeing as well as grant wishes and donate therapeutic toys and books to both children directly and to hospitals throughout the UK. www.mollyolly.co.uk
