AT its recent Full Council meeting held on October 17th Bungay Town Council reinforced its commitment to achieve compliance with the Government Climate Change amendment act of June 2019 which seeks to achieve carbon neutral status by a target date of 2030 – 2050, making it the first of the G20 countries to establish a zero-carbon target. The council has approved a
draft environment and climate policy statement setting out a series of objectives designed to support initiatives for reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and enhanced carbon storage, and is looking to establish a working group comprising both councillors and members of the community
whose
task will be to establish an Environment
Action Plan
