BECCLES CHORAL SOCIETY:


‘A CHRISTMAS CRACKER.’


FRESH from their recent acclaimed performance of Handel’s Messiah, Beccles Choral


Society will present


their annual Christmas Carol concert on Sunday 15th December at the Sir John Leman High School in Beccles.


As always their concert will include a rich mixture of traditional carols and popular Christmas music, with plenty of chances for audience participation. There will be guest performances from Waveney Winds, Waveney Bells


and Holton St Peter


Primary School Choir. Sprinkle this with a tinkling of the ivories from accompanist Terry Cunnane; stir together with mulled wine and mince pies and the mix will surely put you in the mood for Christmas. The concert will begin at 4.30pm. Doors open at 3.45pm. Talk by the Music Director at 4.10pm. Weybread Craft, Food & Local Produce Fair


WEYBREAD Craft, Food, and Local Produce Fair will be held in St Andrew's Church and Hall Farm Barn, Church Road, Weybread, IP21 5TR on November 23rd and 24th, 10am - 4pm. A One Stop Christmas Fair. You will be able to buy Christmas presents and decorations, cards, cakes, knitted items, alpaca wool items, preserves, pottery, stained glass, portraits, handbags, crochet, pork, beef, fruit and vegetables. Orders can be placed for Suffolk Turkeys poultry, fruit and veg from Anglian Organics, and Shears pork, beef & lamb. Refreshments will be served in the Barn.

turkey or brie rolls with cranberry, cakes, scones, tea and coffee. There will be a Giant Hamper of

Bungay Choral Society


BUNGAY Choral Society is at present rehearsing for their Christmas Concert on December 14th at St Mary’s Church, Bungay, with their Musical Director Jason Collins.


Jason has selected a variety of music with arrangements of our well known traditional Carols plus a selection of both old and some more modern popular classics, we will be joined with some items by the pupils of Ellingham Primary School. Rehearsals take place with Jason in the Emmanuel Church rooms every Wednesday at 7.15pm in a very relaxed atmosphere, no auditions are required, we just enjoy singing and try to present choral music which is


enjoyable to perform as well as pleasant to listen to and sometimes has a little bit of a challenge. Tickets are £10 in advance and available from Wightmans, Earsham Hall or by contacting Jason via email; jason@cantaria.co.uk Alternatively

In the New Year we will rehearse for two concerts; one in May and the other being The Bungay Proms. Dates to be announced.
