current ownership. Andrew took over the business back in 2009, after working for the previous owner who retired. Those familiar with Oulton Broad will know that The Gift Shop has been on Bridge Road for many decades, with its origins dating all the way back to
the 1950s. Humble
beginnings offering just a few lines of postcards and novels to tourists, on the new ‘broads holidays’, soon evolved into a full gift shop with all manner of gift items. Today the shop has continued to evolve, now providing a wide array of gifts, souvenirs, cards and wrap, collectables, figurines, home
fragrancing and personalised gifts, and there is a new website offering its products to customers worldwide. Many people know that The Gift Shop has lots of lovely items for the continuing tourist trade in Oulton Broad, but the shops true focus remains offering gorgeous gifts for the local customers.
