Co-chairmen Neil Sharples, partner, technology consulting at RSM, and Roland Emmans, head of technology at HSBC, asked the tough questions.

The discussion began with Neil Sharples getting the panel to share their experiences of what digital transformation means which led on to looking at many aspects of digitalisation.

After the discussion concluded, Emmans summed it up by saying: “Listening to what’s been said today it’s clear that it is not just about technology but what you do with it, how you change your business processes, and how you take your people with you.”

Sharples added: “We’re fortunate to live in times of massive technological change, especially in terms of computer power and the amount of data we use. This brings opportunities but also threats that businesses need to consider.”
