hen Roxy Koop received word her mammogram was abnormal, she ignored it. She had dealt with benign tumors in the past, and
thought it was more of the same. After another mammogram came back abnormal six months later, she had a lumpectomy. But this time, it tested positive for cancer. “I’m still in the anger phase,” says Roxy, 58, of Mountain Home, who was diagnosed with breast cancer about a year ago. “I’m just still mad. Why does this happen?”
Roxy Koop spends a moment with her best pal, Poppy. Koop is currently battling lung cancer. She also was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. She says the Peitz Cancer Support House has been an invaluable resource for her and a source of emotional support.
