Welcome to issue two of The Vintage Scene. Issue one seemed to be very well received, seeing an influx of subscriptions and content submission. We thank you all for your support. We would love to hear from you with any feature ideas, and general opinions; we welcome your

Welcome!

advice on content, and please let us know of ways we can improve. I recently took delivery of my new steed, a beautifully restored little grey

Fergie. We will publish it’s restoration pictures of in a future issue. I have to admit I am quite smitten with her. She does however need a name, any ideas? My partner, Robin, was so impressed that he went and bought himself a Fergie too!

The ploughing season is now in full swing, so we have few match

reports in this issue. Team ‘Vintage Scene’ went to Rousham, where Charlie qualified for next year’s Nationals. He also went to the Welsh Nationals where he won the horticultural class, and then up to Lincolnshire to secure a third in the 2019 Nationals. Nathan, Charlie’s son won his first match at The Warriner School, Bloxham. This victory was awe- some with Nathan being a pupil at The Warriner School. I imagine the dinner table conversation was fun that evening, being the victor over his father! Have a fantastic Christmas

and (as the advert says) a Fergielicious New Year! See you in January

Members of The Ferguson Club continue to wish The Vintage Scene every success with their new venture and wish you A Very Happy Christmas and a Fergielicious New Year

The Ferguson Club has been supporting the Vintage Tractor Movement since it was formed, more than 30 years ago. Nowhere better to see this than our presence at the Shows up and down the country.

We aim to have a stand at every major show in the country and the Newark Vintage Tractor Show on November 9th & 10th wraps things up for this year. We will have our stand in The George Stephenson Hall and will be exhibiting 6 tractors and a 1920’s horse drawn plough.

You can join on our stand, on line at www.fergusonclub.com or contact our Membership Secretary on 01423 323177 or by Email at membership @fergusonclub.com

It might just be the best £20 you spend!
