Report and photos by The Vintage Scene’s Sharon Dodd
eavy downpours overnight didn’t stop The Warriner School at Bloxham holding their annual ploughing match, where Chris Holloway and staff along with The Banbury Ploughing Society raise much-needed funds for the school farm. The ploughmen had a challenge with their tractors with the furrows filling with water as they ploughed their plot and the field being water logged in places. The Warriner School Farm covers an area of 48 hectares (120 acres) and has both organic and non-organic livestock and crop enterprises. The students have a well-equipped teaching and learning facilities and highly experienced staff.
