You’ve had quite a year since last year at this time. True. Three or four hospi- tilizations, several ER visits and countless doctor ap- pointments. And yet they can’t seem to pinpoint what’s wrong with me. All we can do is keep moving forward and trying. So that’s what I do.
What amazes me is that, even during those con- fusing time, you man- aged to not only keep KUDZOO coming, but also have a couple of new books and two new albums released. Well, that was all stuff I have been working on for quite some time. What bums me out is that my health issues have pretty much stopped me from going around promoting the books and CDs. As of today, I am finally feel- ing like myself again.

Tell us about the book, From Macon to Jacksonville on Mercer University Press. That one was kind of a follow up to Capricorn Rising. It collected many of the interviews I’ve done over the years, but these are with artists that didn’t record for Capricorn Records. And your latest book was recently re- leased. The Road Goes On Forever: 50 Years of Allman Brothers Band Music , also a Mercer imprint. Yeah. That one meant a lot to me personally because the Allmans were always my favorite all time band. It’s been getting good reviews. There are several Allman books available, but mine is kind of like an Allman Brothers Handbook. Lots of facts, a few “new” inter- views, a little bit of everything. Chuck Leavell wrote a nice foreword.
Wow. Sounds good. Do you have other books you are working on?
