The latest Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo brings typical Porsche performance to the current range of hybrids while offering comfort, space and luxury – it’s the most impressive example of how the benefits of the plug-in hybrid drive can be used to boost performance and driving pleasure. With a 3.4 second sprint from 0-62 mph*, the instantaneous response of the electric motor allows 850 Nm of torque a top speed of 192 mph*.
Drivers will feel the power throughout the drive, thanks to a clever combination of a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a 136 hp electric motor and lithium-ion battery. Power that feels this good rarely strikes a saintly chord, yet the benefits of the E-Hybrid system are clear with an average combined fuel consumption of 74.3 to 80.7 mpg. Using electric power alone, the car can travel up to 30 miles** and reach speeds of up to 86 mph*.
Superb performance The E-Hybrid technology that was proven in the 918 Spyder informs the Sport Turismo. It takes the Spyder’s boost strategy to guarantee that even at 1,400 rpm, the two motors – electric and petrol – combine to give you the maximum 850 Nm torque. It’s delivered with a surprisingly short response time thanks to the Porsche decoupler.
Dynamic technology As with all Porsche engineering, the driver is certain to experience power with grace, thanks to a painstaking approach to perfecting driving dynamics. From the digital Porsche Advanced Cockpit, drivers can enjoy the benefits of optional assistance systems such as Porsche InnoDrive including adaptive cruise control and rear-axle steering, affording superb levels of control and responsiveness.
