Welcome to the September edition of CPD SPECIFIER, the magazine for DCE delegates.
We hope you have enjoyed the great British summer even though the weather could have been much better?
It has been quite an exciting summer. We have a brand new Prime Minister who, hopefully, will get BREXIT sorted one way or the other.
ALL of us involved in building and construction need the political situation to settle down so that we can get on getting on with our daily business of designing, constructing, improving, refurbishing and repairing!
Regardless of how we as individuals voted back in June 2016, the whole Leave/Remain situation needs to be put to bed ASAP so that we can move forward.
On the sporting front, the men’s Cricket World Cup could not have been more nailbiting, the Women’s Football World Cup generated enormous interest and it looks like Sir Andy Murray will be returning to singles action! Personally, I had a great week at the OPEN Golf in Royal Portrush - awesome!
However, it’s now back to work with a vengeance!
We have some 30+ different Meet the EXPERTS Technical Forums this autumn all across mainland UK.

The 2020 tour has already been announced and the seminar programmes are taking shape. There are 80+ events planned including return visits to some of our favoured locations and some brand new venues where we are hoping to spread the technical message even further!
As ever, these events can only be successful because YOU attend. Hopefully, we will continue to see you at your next ‘local’ venue.
